Asia is incredibly diverse, with various cultures, traditions, and ethnicities. Being familiar with different wedding customs and makeup preferences is essential. A bride’s cultural background plays a key role in achieving a flawless look. I believe it is important to have a consultation/ trial with the bride to ensure we can create her dream wedding makeup look.
Traditional Asian bridal makeup often focuses on a more full coverage complexion and a more heavy Smokey eye. My makeup style is more suited to a natural bride. It enhances her features so she can look her best self on her wedding day.
Some of my gorgeous brides enjoy introducing traditional elements into their makeup. This includes heavier eye makeup or red lip while keeping the skin more natural. As I always want to ensure that I am still in keeping with tradition but with a modern twist.
From my experience I know Asian weddings are often a very long day. So I like to ensure my brides that the makeup is long-lasting and remains flawless for the big day.
